A webapp that turns an event into a treasure hunt: codes scattered around the venue, real-time scoring and a leaderboard everyone follows. Built for Software House UNDB events.

The problem

At an academic event, engagement usually drops after the first hour. With no reason to move around, the crowd settles into the same two spots and most of what was organised never gets seen.

The solution

Scatter QR codes across the spots that matter and award points for each scan. The live leaderboard does the rest: people move because they want to climb, and end up seeing everything the event had to show.

How it was built

Scanning happens through the phone camera, with nothing to install. Scoring is validated server-side, so a scanned code on its own earns nothing and nobody can photograph a QR and pass it around. The leaderboard updates without a page reload.
